The Administrative History of Nigeria and the Governing Philosophy of H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu (1999–2007)

The administrative history of Nigeria accounts for the foundation, development, and evolution of administrative institutions and modalities for governance. This chronological and archival study traces four major themes: pre-colonial and native administrative structures, colonial rule, military rule, and civilian rule in Nigeria.

The qualitative study also examines the governing philosophy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, focusing on the foundational principles and value system adopted during his administration as Governor of Lagos State. It conceptualizes this governing philosophy as “Progressive-Conservatism,” considering his biographical and political life alongside his leadership and administrative strategies.
